Des looked around, making sure his ears faced every direction at least once. "I can't hear anything." He said. Then it hit him. " That's odd, you think the air would be filled with noises of the night."
Kaerisa's tail began to twitch. Lets leave here. She said as she put her tale against the left side of Kenot's head. I will lead you back to where you started, go backward how you came from there.

(That's what I thought... *Is slightly lost* You've done plenty here though, you can move on if you want, I was just trying to twist the story in that direction, and I was waiting for Kayla to post))

(Yeah I'm sorry. ^^; I think it's because that's the order of the journey boards. I forgot they were headed a different direction! My bad! Sorry for confusing everybody, especially you Tam. *hugs*)
Essetai's own larger than usual ears normally picked up a lot of sounds but she too noted the silence. She frowned and her tail twitched back and forth out of nervous habit. "...Desumo this doesn't seem good. The only reason for a completely silent night would be for something dangerous to be around. I mean even in Treefell where the place is in shambles there should still be night sounds, right?"
Carefully, Kento followed Kaerisa's directions. He made sure to drag his feet slightly so that his toes would hit whatever he happened to walk into before he would be able to hit into it. Still it was an unnecessary precaution. After all, the Dragon's night vision was better than his and she wouldn't let him smack into something... would she? He hoped not. "Thanks Kaerisa."

"Even though the tree life is gone there should still be the sounds of small insects in the grass." Des said. " Tell Kento to get back here and be careful. The only reason I can figure is just beyond our line of sight, someone has us surrounded."
Your my free ride back, if you get lost then where am I? Kaerisa said.

She nodded back, frantically reaching out to Kento's mind. Despite the resulting sharp prick of pain for both Aurorans- she was being rough- she shouted her message to him. Kento get back here right now... But he careful. Desumo thinks we're surrounded by something.
Surrounded? How? There's nothing to offer cover? Kento replied, confused. Their connection was iffy since Kento wasn't the most skilled with mind-speech and neither was she but it still got the job done nicely enough.
Essetai pouted. I don't know... That's what worries me.
Right.
Kento didn't bother to reply to Kaerisa about her comment. Instead he spoke in a low and rather hushed whisper to the young Dragon. "Des and Esse may be in trouble. We have to be careful."

The tense silence continued. It filled all the spaces, creeping over everything.
Suddenly there was a loud crack. A Storm Deamon appeared hovering above the barren landscape. It opened it's mouth and a deep voice echoed from it.
"You are close to the boundary, move north."
As soon as it finished it's message, it crumbled to dust, just leaving a small pile of ash which quickly blew away on the wind. The sounds of the forest began to return slowly...
Hiko turned sharply. I'm not sure if that is a blessing or a curse. We know where to go, I've no doubt that that was the truth, but the guards will have heard that too.

Des wasn't quite sure either. "Think that Storm Deamon was bonded or a dark one?" He asked. " We can't just leave Kento and Kaerisa behind, maybe we should meet halfway then go north. Any suggestions?" Whatever was decided, Des figured it would involve moving on. He began to dismantle the camp, hiding they were ever there in case guards came.

"Well no time to camp that's for sure... No doubt Kento heard that crack if the guards did. I agree with meeting half way." Esse nodded. She too started to help Desumo take apart the camp. So much for rest.

Des finished up the last of his part of camp and went to help Esse. " We should of had a quick clean up plan." He said then cursed mildly under his breathe.
Kaerisa could see the edge of the forest in sight. We're almost there. She said. Think the others are ok?

Hiko called out to Kaerisa, how far are you? before turning back to the others. Is there anythin I can carry for you? He asked carefully.

We're almost to the edge of the forest. Kaerisa said to Hiko. Be there in no time
Des thought it over. "As long as you got the satchle and the fruit we're good." He said. "But when we meet up with Kaerisa nd Kento Icould you carry the wood, it will come in handy in Hoku."

"We'll have a quick clean up plan next time we make camp. Live and learn, eh?" Esse replied, a small sort of labored breathing behind her words from being in a rush. "For now we worry about other things, alright Des?"
Kento pouted. "What's going on Kaer? Did you talk to them and find out?"
