Appearance: (In human form) Desumo is about 5' 11" and medium muscle build. His hair is blonde and usually spiked back. His eyes are a steel grey color ,and he looks like a male in his twenties. Desumo wears a black, sleeveless shirt and blue pants that have deep pockets for him to carry little trinkets and goods. He also wears blue work glove and black leather boots. He also wears a pendant around his neck that he obtained from his father and is heat resistant. (Elemental form) Desumo retains his height and build but his appearance changes. His hair becomes statically charged and stands up. The rest of his body becomes pure blue electricity and his eyes become yellow. His clothes remain unless he goes full power, at that point his shirt and shoes burn away but his pants ,due to being made of special material he found in his mother's family's storage, and his pendant.
Background: Desumo is the son of Fire Elemental father Aestuo and a Wind Elemental mother Ventina, whom apparently met during a trading arrangement. Though they couldn't live together since Ventina constantly traveled and couldn't resist the intense heat of the volcano, so they stayed in touch through volcanic vents. Desumo grew up traveling with his mother until the age of 15, the day he visited his father's home in the Roca Mountain. After that he regularly went between them, accepting the Fire Village as a home. His father eventually took him as a black smith apprentice, teaching him to forge using his powers. One day, at the age of 25, Desumo asked his mother if there was any way the wind tribe wouldn't have to travel so they could live together. She told him there was only one way. A village that was in the sky would be the ideal home and a possibility, but called for power beyond any Wind Elemental. Even all them working together couldn't do it. The only way was to use a crystal that had the power of the gods themselves. The only problem was that it was divided into pieces. At that moment, Desumo devoted his life to finding the pieces to build the sky village. At the age of 56, the equivalence of 16 in human years, he left his parents to find the pieces. In time he found the goal to be difficult, especially when he found the demon Amett had three already. Now he is 70, 20 in human years, and searches for shards more in his reach and trains for the day he confronts Amett for his shards.
Other: Desumo makes a living as a traveling black smith while doing trading on the side. He also exchanges information with people, hoping to find the location of a shard. Desumo is against Amett, but wouldn't pass up the chance get a shard from someone else against Amett. Desumo can regulate how far he goes into his Elemental form, from just being able to manipulate electricity in human form to going all out and anywhere in between.
Update: Des now travels with Esse and Kento to Hoku. He made a deal with Esse that they would her village in Hoku if they go to Seido next. Des hopes to find leads in Auroran legends along with the ability to foge ice weapons. Before setting off on his journey, Des decided to train in Alchemy to see if it would help his goal. For reasons known only to him and his master he dropped out without learning the skills needed to be an alchemist. It is also said Desumo hides an embarrassing secret under his gloves, making him reluctant to remove them in elemental form.
Personality update: Des likes to joke around and will often use perveted humor. Despite this he does have wisdom due to his real age. He finds acting his appeared age is more fun that his real age. He has ignorance of the northern lands due to a dislike of the cold, having been only to the border of Hoku a few times. Apart from assembling the crystal pieces for his goal, his two real interest are weapons and women. He like to learn as much as he can to forge ultimate weapons one day. His interest in women may be perverted but respectful, he won't go farther than they let him and doesn't peep. Sometimes when he pranks peole he gives it a lightning upgrade.
