Faari are docile creatures about the size of a pit bull. They are cat-like creatures, brown in colour, with leafy green wings. Their paws are also leaf-green as well as their underside and the tips of their ears and tail. Around their neck is a 'necklace of green leaves and they have matching 'bracelets' on their front paws. The Faari have a lifespan of about 30 years.
They are generally found in thick forests, and will easily befriend nearly any traveler passing through. Not very many of these creatures remain, because their willingness to trust has left them in the wrong hands. However, after mating for life, a pair of Faari may have as many as 12 young in total. The young stay with their parents for about 5 months, feeding off their mother's milk. The father then teaches them how to hunt, and before 6 months are over, they leave their family to start their own.
The Faari are reasonably intelligent, especially when it comes to hunting for food. The Faari eat small rodents, and occasionally birds and spiders as well. Usually docile, they become ferocious, but will immediatley relax infront of anything larger than themselves. The only time they will remain fierce is when they are protecting their young.
