She spun, whip in hand, giving Tansa another sharp strike against the flank with the whip's biting sting. This time Sumi didn't say a thing, just repeated her demand. "I'll cut the beast up. You make the fire."

Tansa yelped, glaring back at Sumi. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm not a fire-breathing dragon..." I don't know any fire spells and its not like I carry around flint. Lazy fish can do it herself.

She snorted. "Then you're a useless shifter." Can't even turn into a dragon!
With an annoyed and still angry, maddened, facial expression Natsumi spun away. She walked and started to look along the ground for flint to start a fire.

"Not as useless as a fish," she muttered. Tansa just sat down and watched as Natsumi searched for a way to start the fire. Hah. Made her do it after all.

Sumi, annoyed, picked up a large rock and threw it at Tansa. Even if it fell short she would enjoy if the cat got startled. If it did hit, it was sure to leave a bruise to join in the nasty whip marks.

Having been looking away, she only noticed it at the last second from the corner of her eye. Tansa leaped to the side, fur raised and claws unsheathed as she hissed at the 'attacker'. Then she realized it was only a rock and turned to Sumi, growling.

Sumi chuckled a little, the ring of the laughter laced with darkness and a cold air. Now that was amusing...what I wouldn't give to be able to have some more fun with her. I'd torture her down to a shred of life. Now that would be fun.

Tansa sat back down, glaring at the girl. You just wait and see... The second you let your guard down, you're dead, Fishy! she thought, growling in annoyance.

Sumi, not knowing what the cat was thinking, went back to her search. However as usual she knew Tansa was angry. It was an obvious accessment. All she had to do was never let down her guard...

Tansa stayed where she was, watching Natsumi search for something to use to start a fire. There was no way she'd join in the search. I'll never help that stupid fish. I hope she starves trying to find flint.

Sumi gave up then cut a piece of the Zintelli's leg off, throwing it at Tansa. "I can hear your stomach growling from here. It'll give us away if we need to be sneaky."

Tansa caught the piece in her jaws, setting it down in front of her. "Your yapping is more likely to give our position away. If you want to be sneaky, then shut up." What an idiot. The smell of blood, especially from something as big as this, is more likely to lead beasts to us than any sound we might make. She began eating the meat of the creature.

She rolled her eyes. "Just shut your trap and stuff your idiot face before I do it for you with a sword." Dumb ca...thinks I don't know a thing!

Tansa smirked. Fishy's getting aaangry. Oh she's just so scary. She continued to eat, though she didn't exactly like the meat. Derabs were better, in her opinion, but she had no choice at the time. When she finished, she waited impatiently on Sumi.

Sumi cut some more meat and tore some paper from her notebook, wrapping it up. She'd cook it whenever she could. If it spoiled before then she'd just deal with it. I'll figure out this riddle later.
