Natsumi stopped, sitting down on a tree stump to rub her sore feet a little. Her eyes had adjusted a long while ago when they had first entered the forest so she spared a glance around. There was no sign of any animal save for the occasional scurrying Mousaokit. "It's silent..." she observed with a blank, uninterested tone. Neither she nor Tansa had spoken since their orders from Amett.

"Keep it that way. I like the silence more than having to listen to you, Fishy," Tansa answered. She looked around the forest before turning her attention back to Natsumi. She's so lazy! If we don't get moving we'll be late on this task as well.

Sumi mumbled under her breath and got up off the stump, looking around again. "Tansa...shh... you have better hearing than I do, right? Do you hear any animals nearby? I don't want to run into a Floxxus."

"If I did hear one, I'd be out of here in a flash and leave you to distract it," she muttered. Listening carefully, she mostly heard only the wind. She turned toward the sound of rustling leaves but saw only a lone Mousaokit as it made its way into a hole in the ground.

Natsumi felt her fin-ear twitch, something it only did when she had a pure sense of impending danger. "...I don't think we're safe here."

Tansa looked back at her. "Yeah no freaking duh, Fishy. We're in the middle of the Shadowed Forest. It's NEVER safe here." She turned and started walking, not caring if Sumi followed. Stupid Fish...

Sumi rolled her eyes then continued to walk. The least Lord Amett could've done was give me a better weapon... A nice whip would work for me. She followed behind Tansa without another word, listening carefully for any sounds of beasts within the forest. While most would be under Amett's control, others would be completely wild.

Tansa walked on silently and highly alert. She knew there was a better chance of meeting one of Amett's workers than a dangerous one, but they would still have to be careful. Another Mousaokit dove into a den nearby and a branch moved overhead as a Fehrra ran across it, but other than that she sensed nothing else around.

Sumi continued walking until she noticed a metallic object seemingly buried under the ground. She stopped and kicked the dirt up a little, looking at it carefully. "A sword...?" A small smile played on her lips. The Roca's tent...the items he sold must have been like those in the Ruins of Time... magic spells on them to keep them from being ruined by time.

Tansa glanced back at Sumi and noticed the sword on the ground. Why would there be weapons out here? she wondered, having never heard about the traveling Roca who sold goods all across Amaru.

She continued to poke around near where she found the stone, finding various objects like bomb stones or scattered pieces of dragon tail armor. She suddenly smirked, finding the long leather-like tassel she'd hoped for.

Tansa payed no mind to Sumi. She moved aside fallen brown leaves with her paw and looked over the items. Finding an armour helmet meant for a small dragon, she slipped it over her head before dropping it again. How can dragons wear this? Even people, she thought when she noticed a matching armour helmet meant for a rider. I never understood that; armour is so heavy, you can hardly move in it.

Sumi picked up the whip and cracked it against the ground as a test. It worked. "Dragon armor won't work for a cat."

Tansa didn't even glance back, seeming not to care what Sumi was doing. "I don't need armour. Maybe dragons do since they're so much bigger and kinda slow, but I'm a cat. I can avoid attacks easily enough so it would only slow me down." She sniffed around, still curiously digging through the leaves.

She wstched Tansa, confused as to what she was looking for. "Anything of actual use?"
