"It's not hard when you want to." He closed his eyes, now that they weren't of any use in the dark. "I think having friends is the best thing there is!" His voiced echoed louding and the loud booming that followed was loud and frightened him.

The creature roared loudly at the echo. As Nox and Larc turned the corner, it's giant shape came into view. It was covered in dark scales and unlike anything either of the two had seen before in Amaru. It was far larger, and it shoulders were hunched over, meaning it could grow taller still. It had 4 legs, as most creatures to, but the legs seemed to be jointed in odd directions, giving the creature an uneven lope as it began to move towards where Nox and Larc were standing. It's eyes where white, with no pupils, and it hard razor sharp teeth and claws. It also had blades on the back of it's legs and the end of its tail.
Suddenly it stopped, as if it had come against a hard barrier. It shook its nose, if you could call it such, and paused, glaring and Nox and Larc with its unnatural eyes.

Nox stared at the creature, unable to recognize it. It's body gave him the sense that it was evil but he doubted that since it didn't attack. " So, this is it." He said. " Can't say I expected less. How do we know if it approves of us?"

It will attack you as you pass through it's small domain if it doesn't Adura answered bluntly.

Larc shivered. "Dang, sorry guys." He looked at the beast and sighed. "Should I use Sparks to get past him?" Larc memerized the spell in his head.

"No, we shouldn't provoke it." Nox said. " As fun as it would be to battle this unknown creature it's best we don't." He sighed, Something that size would possibly be good training for Amett.

The Fehra turned to Nox as if she had understood what he was thinking. Amett wouldn't have much of a problem here. He is far more powerful than you expect. Shall we try our luck? She scuttled forwards and moved along the ground to where she supposed the barrier was.

Larc stared at her in fear. "Wont she get eaten?!" He almost ran to grabbed her, but stopped. "Sorry...your more than you look...I know that." He smiled and sighed out loud.

"I doubt she has to worry about being considered evil." Nox said as he walked towards her. " Besides, who says it'll eat us. Maybe it will just crush us then throw our corpses aside like old trash." He thought about what Adura had told him. If Amett and his tainted heart could easily get through here then I have to, if for nothing else than to prove myself equal.

Larc felt the ting. He always got this when Nox got quiet. It was rather annoying..."So we have to have a prue heart? We can't be evil?" Simple, yet powerful. He thought he heard a small voice laughing, but he threw it away.

"Think about it." Nox said. " If every tainted person came here for the Stone Legend we'd be screwed. All of Amett's henchmen would have pieces and would probably have completed it already."

"But if someone works for Amett himself, then they are fithly strong. I mean, this beast would only be a small speck to those magic dulers!" He looked at the beast again. "I think we should stop staring at this ugly beast..."

By this point Adura had reached the line, and she began weaving between the beast's legs. It gave no sign that it noticed that she was there. Adura turned back to the others. He seems quite docile really. She said. Well... he does at the moment.

Larc swallowed hard. "My turn..." he slowly walked up to the beast and got near his feet. Larc felt his breath on him and almost lost him. He looked up to see if the beast was letting him pass, or going to eat him full.

Nox sighed." Well I'm going through too, see you on the other side." He said as he followed Adura's path, hoping the beast would be equally ignorant to him.
