Accalia shrugged and laid down to relax, catching her breath by panting. She had hoped to get some positive commentary out of Star for once. Oh well...maybe next time. she thought to herself.

She quickly went through her excersises, ignoring the wolf pup. She then picked up her weapons, and offhand she said that she was going hunting. She moved back into the forest, looking for something to follow.

Accalia relaxed and closed her eyes. Though she was still fully aware of her surroundings, she needed the rest. There was never much down-time to sleep at night so she would catch what she could.

Star started jogging lightly, moving into the forest, and keeping her eyes open. She wanted a decent kill, maybe a gallalite, someting with tender meat that would last a while.

Some mousaokits scrambled by, afraid of the Ferrah that was pursuing them. Neither would make a good meal though so it was best to leave them be. Birds flapped quietly overhead but again none were low enough to the ground nor large enough to make good prey.

Star moved on carefully, loosing her blade in its sheath, and holding her left hand, with which she was just as good, close to her morning star.

The quiet sounds of a Moonstar Deer walking through the area caught the attention of the very few birds left in the area. They took wing and left, not wanting to be nearby. The gentle animal loped through. It had no idea Star was there.

Star smiled, happy with her luck. Moonstar were rare, and their meat very tender, with exquiste flavour. She could also sell the horns, and use the coat to make a winter coat. The bones could be used as well, she wouldn't have to waste anything. She moved silently, moving towards the deer, having carefully positioned herself upwind.

The deer had no idea she was there and silently continued along through the area, his ears swivelling in different directions. If Star was quiet and quick to strike she could be sucessful.

Stars feet trod lightly, but she didn't want to draw her sword yet. The moonstar deer were quick, and her blade would make a sound. She considered using the morning star but the deer was to valuable. She skipped in closer and then drew her blade, moving in to slit the deers throat with the same movement, but ready to twist the side and knock the deer unconious if it didn't work.

The deer started to run but Star was too quick. She slit its throat before it could run away. She would have a good meal for a few days.

Star smiled. The kill had happened as she had hoped it would. She lifted up the deer and swung it over her shoulder, carrying the whole thing back to camp. She dumped it down away from the wolf and pulled out her knife, turning to the carcass.

Accalia sniffed the air and tilted her head. She could smell the deer but knew it was not hers for the taking. The young dire wolf would have done anything to be allowed to hunt by herself, however.

Star looked down at Accalia. She didn't want the young dire wolf to be able to practice hunting. She wanted to strike a fine balance between ability and lack of practice because she didn't want the wolf to be able to survive with out her. She shrugged, gently loosing Accalia from the tree. "Wait her." she siad. "I'm going to find some of those waxier leaves to wrap the meat in." She moved off into the forest, deciding it was time to pay Accalia a visit again, but as her mum. She changed swiftly and trotted back, a little bounce in her step.

She nodded, waiting. Accalia blinked. Mum? You're back again? Her eyes and overall appearance seemed to perk up as her tail wagged.
