Tamara smiled. "I think we can get through here."

"Hmm... from here the forest leads out to what? I haven't been on the main land for long." Asim asked.
"Treefell. The section of the forest that's been destroyed thanks to damn dark magic," Zyg replied as he folded his arms over his chest.

Tamara raised her eyebrows. "We have to get past the guards there, and then we will be in the desert. It's not far, at least, as long as we dont get lost."

"We could just go around them? I've been there before and the guards are only in one small area. It'd be easier to just take a left or right rather than have to fight our way through and potentially kill several guards. True they may have some weapons or something but is it worth all the effort when we can just try to buy some later?"
Asim took in Zygandelth's words and nodded. "I'm up for either way I suppose. It's up to Tamara. I don't really want to kill or fight somebody but if that's the way we have to go then I'll go."

"It's hard to get around. It's quite a narrow, long stretch of land. As long as we don't cross treefell directly at the point where the guards hut is we shouldn't meen anyone."

"We shouldn't really meet anyone anyway, but sounds like a plan I guess." Zyg said. Asim just shrugged. He seemed to be wishing he could change back to wolf but couldn't since he knew he had to carry his fair share.

Tamara looked at Asim. "Pass me your pack," she said calmly. She prefered when Asim was in wolf form. She felt closer to him, due to the ability she had with creatures.

Asim tilted his head a moment but did as told. "Okay... Why?" he asked. He was glad to be freed of the extra weight but he wasn't quite sure what she was getting at.

She attached the straps to the bottom of her back and continued to walk. "I know how much you want to run in wolf form."

Asim gave her a quick string of excited words of thanks and changed to wolf form, happily bounding circles around them for a little bit. Then he went back into step along side of Tamara. He had a bright smile on his muzzle.
"Well that was a sudden burst of hyperactivity," Zyg said with one eyebrow raised. "Save the running for later, Asim."

Tamara smiled. "Lets keep going."

Asim trotted along with a bounce to his step, red fur glistening like copper strands every time they passed under a wayward patch of sunlight that filtered through the canopy of the trees. More and more frequently it seemed to occur. The forest was thinning out. They were nearly to Treefell.

Tamara smiled. They had obviously come through the narrowest section of the forest. Sometimes it took much longer than this. She pushed through to the edge of the forest, and looked out across the broken black stumps. "It is worse than last time." Her smile had dissapeared. "Ammett can be allowed to continue doing this to Amaru. Someone has to stop him. The guard's hut is that way. We should keep away from it. It isn't far to the desert. Come."
