(nice title.)
Noxed walked along, slightly in disbelief that he returned to these woods. They forced terrible memories into his mind, even those that were good were terrible in they way that they taunted him of a life never to be lived again. He walked silently with a scowl, more irritable than normal.

Larc leaped from tree to tree. This new surrondings were new, but filled him with a sense of freedom. The same dark look haunted the forest, like the caves. He didn't let the dark let him down. He kept his spirits high.

Adura looked around at her surroundings. The dark didn't bother her, but she knew that it was often as it got darker that the most dangerous creatures came out to hunt unwary travellers. She skitted along close to the ground, before clawing her way onto Nox's shoulder.

Nox hardly noticed Adura, acknowledging her as much. He was set on leaving the forest as soon as possible. "So, who knows the quickest way into Seido." He asked half in a grunt.

Larc caught a branch and swung around, making him upside down. He gave a monkey face and laughed. He is joy was still with him. "Adura, would I be right if I said we had to go through this wood?"

"Of course it is but which path through here is fastest." Nox said. "Now get down before every creature that lurks in these woods sees you."

Follow the river. It will eventually lead out of the forest and into the desert, where it disapears into the sand. The river is that way, Adura said, trying to indicate to Nox. I can hear the water

Larc twitched his ears. "Oh lighten up Nox." He did a spun on the limp and leaped to the ground. "So that way?" Larc pointed to the sound of rushing water.

Nox gave a grunt and walked in the direction Adura indicated. Though he was in a dark mood, Nox couldn't help but admire Larc's ignorance and naivety. He remembered when he was that way. I hope he enjoys in while it last. One day he'll realize the world is a heartless place. I just hope he learns it a way easier than I did.

Adura laughed gently, having a vague idea of what Nox was thinking. She was more than she seemed. She understood that a balance was needed, to understand the world well, yet still be happy.

Larc walked after Nox, not knowing the silent talk they went through. He just smiled and looked around him, in this new dark world.

"Don't let your gaurd down." Nox warned. " The minute you do is the same minute you seal your fate. You may enjoy this forest but believe me, there are evils in it's depths that some can't comprehend without being tainted in the process."

The trio reached the river quickly. It was narrow, rushing and burbling down stream. It looked just wide enough to get a small boat on, but there were dangerous rocks littering the river bed. It was quite deep, deep enough to get hurt in, and the currents were fast.

"Do we have to cross the river or just follow it from this side?" Nox asked. " I'm not much of a swimmer." In truth Nox didn't want to have to remove his bandages if they got wet or if he had to swim across. He wasn't quiet ready to show Larc his arm, whether it was trust issues or not wanting to have to explain his story he wasn't sure.
