Aethos Elementals were the first Elementals on Amaru, all other Elementals are their descendants. They live on Cosmos Island where they farm and hunt. They are a more science race, studying the world around them. They even built a tower to observe the heavens on top of the mountain which their village is at the bottom of. Their powers have similarities to the other Elementals, seeing as they're the ancestors. They can create barriers, fire energy beams, flying abilities more along the line of Storm Elementals, and connect with the energy void.
Long ago the Aethos Elementals aided in the discovery of Alchemy. They are frequent users of it, using the power to do things on a minor scale. They use it to build structures and other daily activities. It is the Aethos Elemental's right of passage to learn at least basic Alchemy.
Their primitive bodies lacks the ability to use a humanoid form, causing them to be in constant Elemental state. Their appearance is that of dim, grey glowing matter ((think of the stuff in a lava lamp)) in humanoid shape, an appearance closely resembling that of Light Elementals though they lack the ability to change the brightness of the light. The Aethos Elementals have an unusual fighting style, one only taught in a dojo in their village. They connect to the energy void and use the energy by pulsing it through their opponents upon contact. It causes internal damage rather than external and has been called Wuep Jiml. This style can also be used to correct any imbalances in someones internal life energy that may be causing illness or pain. This lets them have minor medical powers.
They make their living by each individual contributing what he/she specialty to the village, this allows for overall wealth. The village is run by an elected leader who rules until death. Though the leader makes laws, he can only make laws citizens agree on. The Aethos Elementals can live up to 450 years thanks to their connection to void, aging one normal year every four and a half years.
