She glanced over the runes for a bit then put her finger on one about halfway down the stone which she had to stand on her toes to reach. "The one two above this. I can't reach it so you'll have to go by that."

Des spotted the rune she spoke of. " Got it." He said as he began to copy the runes down the best he could. " Mhm... ok... hmmm"

"Once you're done give it to me and I'll look them over for accuracy. Even one tiny little mark might change the whole word..." Esse suggested. "We don't want any going from 'the' to 'and' or something like that."

"Okay." Said Des. He was now paying extra attention to his work. He flipped to the next page as the last one had filled up. " Does it start repeating itself at any point?"

Esse looked them over again, her lips silently moving with any runes she translated into Amarian. She finished her visual sweep and shook her head. It caused her bright red hair to move a little which she quickly flicked back over her shoulders and out of her eyes. "Nope...it's all different. It starts going into something else besides the Stone Legend though. I'm not sure what any of this means past the point I read in Amarian up until."

Des sighed. "Ok, I'm gonna be using a lot of paper then." He said, still marking down runes. " Think I should write down the extra?"

She thought for a minute. "I'll do it. I have some paper with me too. Since we're traveling together it won't matter if we have it in parts. Plus it's less writing for the both of us." Esse grinned. "Sound good?"

"Okay, got a side preference?" she asked. Essetai laughed. "Actually you know what? Finish the side you started so you don't randomly get new notes. I'll get the other half. Deal?"

" Deal." Des said, a little relieved that he no longer would be writing down the whole legend. " You notice we seem to be making a lot of deals?"

"Yeah but is that a bad thing?" Essetai laughed. "Unless it ends up being things like 'carry me on your back while I sleep' or something odd like that." It felt good to laugh... The sound bounced off the walls loudly and she winced. "Oops, didn't mean to be so noisy."
She took out her graphite stub and notebook, jotting down the runes again. She smiled, glad she had studied their shapes while reading.

This got a grin and another giggle from Esse. She nodded. "Yeah I doubt that. I mean you are definitely stronger than I am so I doubt me carrying you would work well." Her sentences were broken so she could avoid splitting her concentration to the rune detail too much.
