The Auroran female brushed some of her short red hair out of her face and sat down near the Ruins of Time. She ran a hand along the stone. "If only it could talk... what stories this place could tell."
Essetai continued to look over the rock before she turned her head, checking the horizon all around. "It's so much different here than up in Hoku... not cold at all."

Desumo walked around the ruins, wondering where to start. " Those guys said here would lead to clues about the shards." He said to himself. "might as well set up camp, could be here awhile." With that, Desumo proceeded to find a good camp site. He found a nice spot under a nearby rock fomation. His site secured, Desumo then set out to find some fire wood and food.

Essetai felt her ear perk. That only happened when somebody was nearby. The Auroran walked around the side of the Ruins until she could see Desumo. She blinked. This person was completely strange looking to her. The only race she'd ever seen was her own. While she'd spent time learning the races, right down to the ancient ones, she never really got to see them outside of books and scrolls.

Desumo arranged the branches he found in a cone shape and put his hand in front of it. A small yellow lightning bolt shot from his palm, igniting the branches into a blaze.
"Thank goodness father was a fire elemental or I'd be in a bit of a bind." He thought. Desumo stared at the fire, it reminded him of his father and quest. His mind soon shifted to current events, he still needed to decide how to go about searching the Ruins. Desumo got up and stretched when he noticed someone in the corner of his eye. He turned to see who was watching him.
"An Auroran girl," He exlaimed. " don't see to many of those around here." Desumo waved at the girl. " Hi there." He said. Desumo wondered why she was here and, more important, if she knew the whereabouts of any shards.

Esse took a deep breath, finding her words suddenly caught up in her throat. While she was friendly she was typically shy. She came forward and her unusually long red tail wrapped itself around her leg. "Erm... hi." Essetai said, blushing nervously.

"I'm Essetai... call me Esse." she replied, walking closer to him without as much caution. She stopped at a comfortable distance and smiled. Esse had relaxed her tail as well as her body itself to appear less nervous. "Nice to meet you too Desumo."

"Well Esse I'm curious, what brings an Aruran to these parts anyway" Desumo asked. He sat back down and relaxed. " Maybe a bit of company wouldn't be so bad." He thought.

She shrugged. "Same thing that brings everyone here I guess..."
Esse blushed a little as she spoke. "Personally I'm here to follow in the footsteps of a great hero, Malon of Hoku."
