She giggled. "Well then I'm glad to hear it." Essetai seemed so much more different now than when she had first walked out, her true personality shining through the nervousness. Now that they were friends she showed her true colours turning out be a light-personality kind of person.

" Out of curiosity, why is your village isolated to the point where you never see or befriend any other races?" Desumo asked. " Come and sit by the fire as you tell me, might be more comfortable." He added more wood and shot another bolt at the fire to perk it up.

She sat down and pulled off her pack, setting it down beside her. Esse seemed a little uncomfortable near the heat since she came from Hoku but she put up with it. "I don't think there's any particular reason. It's just kind of hard for travelers to get to Thunderblizzard. The snow only lets up once a year and even then people tend not to want to come."

" Odd, the Water Elementals never go? They live off of Winter Beach. Surely there is a river nearby they can use to travel to you." Desumo said. He noticed Esse looked uneasy and wondered why. Then it hit him, they were talking about her far north home and had a fire going. " Is the fire bothering you?" He asked concerningly.

She shrugged. "A little... This climate is far too warm for me naturally and the fire's just making it worse. You can keep it going if you need it but I may have to wander away from it for a little while."
"Never seen any Water Elementals either. I think the Frozen Lake is too much for them."

" I don't need it so much, i just thought i get a jump on it rather than later." Desumo said as he pushed dirt over the fire. He brushed off his hands and sat back down.
" There we go, it should be dead in no time. Sorry about that though. Guess that means to adventuring Amber desert, eh? Anyway, the journey from there must have been something."

"It was kind of fun, actually... though I'm sure anybody back home is worried about me. I kind of left with little notice." Esse replied with a giggle. "...I've always wanted to see Amaru. Even the hotter parts. I'll just need a wardrobe adjustment is all. Long sleeved blue armor and long pants probably aren't the best idea."

" Believe me, some parts of that desert are far too hot for just a clothes change especially for someone use to the cold like yourself. Won't you want to try to reach Enra or the Roca village? I strongly suggests you learn some water and ice spells if possible."

She nodded. "Well yeah I guess you're right... currently the only spell I know is Sparks. I've tried to pick up some others through legend but they don't say how to preform them."
"And I didn't run away... I left some notice. But like I said it was little. In other words I only told one person then left. That way at least somebody knew where I went." Essetai sighed.

As the two of you sit talking, the sky begins to darken. The trees around you rustle omniously, and you here a strange whinying coming from the trees. There seems to be multiple creatures around you, and they seem to be getting closer. You here the sound of hooves, clipping lightly on the ground, and there is another whinny.
You here a scream from one of the horses, a wild untamed sound, and the hoof beats speed up. The rhythm changes from a walk, to a trot, to a canter, as they try and escape what it was that threatened them.

Esse suddenly fell silent, listening. "That sounds like... a pegicorn? Or something like one. It definately has hooves. Whatever it is, it's being chased or scared somehow. Maybe I could use my Sparks spell to light up the forest a little? The creature sounds close and it may give us some more visibility without causing heat like the fire would."

Desumo didn't like the situation they found themselves in. " Not only have we let the night sneak up on us, but it's creatures too apparently." He thought.
"Sparks sounds like a good idea to me, at least until whatever scared that animal reaches here." Desumo said. " Hope your ready, cause this could turn into a late night rumble." Desumo let electricity flow along his arms, preparing for the unknown.

Esse nodded. "Well... another reason I'm a little different from everyone else in Thunderblizzard. I'm a girl but I trained with weapons. Ice weapons. Now I know I don't have any here but I do have a weapon at least."
She raised her palm and cast the Sparks spell, letting the forest be illuminated.

She bit her lip in thought. "Not sure how long but I can probably cast it again... it takes a bit to recharge so it may mean darkness for a while again."
Esse sighed. "I can't sense any animals coming..."
