Chlea held on tight, screwing her eyes shut, even though it wouldn't help. Soyru was flying as close as she could, although she wasn't very good at it yet.

Tamara connected with Soyru. Try and catch the wind she told the little bird, now tuck your wings in, and angle yourself towards the ground. As you get close, open your wings and let the air catch you, like this.
Tamara folded her wings in and sped towards the ground. She shot towards the hole like a bullet. She let out a long woop as the adreniline coarsed through her body, spreading her wings just before she hit the building. She lowered slowly through the hole, to the passage way where she said she would meet Zyg. She lowered Chlea to the ground and helped her to sit against the wall. She dropped the pack beside her, and said to her. "Wait here. I'm just going to get Soyru. She's not quite used to this flying malarkey yet." Tamara took off again and circled the sky looking for the little bird. She found her quickly, and connect again, giving her some tips, and guiding her towards the whole, through which they flew together, and landed softly.

Zyg leaped down, landing with his legs splayed and one hand touching the ground. He held the position for a second and took the chance to recover the breath he'd lost from the exertion. He stood up and put down the pack Tamara had told him to carry. "Here... sorry I took so long. There were a few rocks missing so I had to find another way here other than the way you told me to go."

Tamara walked towards the wall. "I wasn't expecting you to get here first." She ran her hands over the stone. "They're entering the building, and the've split up, taking the 3 passages from the top of the stairs." Tamara's fingers found the marks she was looking for in the rock, and she pushed the wall, and it suddenly folded away. "I'm glad I could find it again. She lifted Chlea up and led her through the door, onto a narrow ledge on the other side. From the ledge, there was a big pit, that had been dug many years before into the ground. "There used to be a bridge here..." Tamara said, confused. "It was thin, with no railings, so only one person could cross it, and it was guarded."

"If the bridge is gone there's a chance anything that used to be in the bottom of this pit is likely gone as well. Should I check it out?" Zyg asked. He looked around and frowned. "You know... I was in prison here before. It's hard to believe that in only five years it's been completely abandoned and destroyed..."

"No Zyg, I have no doubt that you were brought to the camps. I mean, I doubt you were brought to this room. They don't let you out of here alive. And we could all fly. If I took the packs over first, and you stayed here with Chlea. And then I'll carry Chlea, I know I can do that. Actually, do you have any rope?"
Tamara looked hopeful. "If you have rope, I think I can get everyone across."

"Well I never said I went to this room, now did I?" he laughed. He pouted. "Truthfully this whole place looks completely different than before so I couldn't even tell you where they kept me... and that's something one doesn't forget easily."
He shook his head. "I wish I did... all I have is this thing I st- got... a bottle and some other junk."

Tamara sat down with her legs over the edge. "I don't know what to do," she whispered. "There is one guard at the end of this corridor. He's jogging along it. We won't get away in time." She looked down. "Hang on. Is that..."
She jumped up in excitment. "There's a coil of rope down there Zyg! If you get it, I can take Chlea and the packs across. And then I'll come back and sort you out. O.K? The guard is comming closer. We have to move now!"

Zyg narrowed his eyes in strain to see, his wolf eyes needing just a few more seconds to adjust themselves. "I'll try... I can jump pretty far so it shouldn't be a problem. Let's just hope my skills are useful for something!"
He dashed and then took a leap, making a grab for the rope...

Zyg caught the rope, and fell onto a little ledge. Now he just needs to get back up. Tamara lifted the heaviest of the three packs, and pushed up, flying to the other ledge. She picked up the second and third together, and battled against the force of gravity once more. She dropped the other to packs, and went to fetch Chlea. Just as she landed, she heard the guard once more. "He's opening the door..."

Zyg caught his breath, heart pounding. "I got the rope! The problem is that this ledge is too small for me to get a good start... I'll never make the jump!"
His ear twitched when he heard the sound of the door opening. He cursed under his breath.

Chlea had been silent, listen to the action around her and trying to to cry or worry; which was harder than it sounded, really. She whimpered softl as she heard the door open, missing Soyru's weight on her shoulder; the little bird heard the sound and fluttered closer, calling softly to her in order to help her calm down.

"It's OK, Chlea. They can't get you over there" Tamara called over. She moved towards the guard, and wrapped her hands around the staff. She felt the grain of the wood under her hand, and moved forwards to fight the guard. She swung the stick forward towards his head, but he ducked quickly and swung his sword out towards her side. She dodged away, feeling the wind from the blade, and cursed slightly. Her opponent could fight, that was not good. She swung her staff again, bringing it up under the guards left arm, and twisting it round. Her opponent groaned, and the arm fell limp, but he brought his sword round to the front, and cut into Tamara's shoulder. She felt the blade cut into her skin, and felt blood run down her arm. She gasped again, and forced her staff in closer, hoping to catch the sword, and twist it out, disarming her opponent. She knew that he was unlikely to fall for this, and when he moved to block the blow, she pulled away, and dodged round the back, catching his shoulder. The sword clattered out of his hand, and tipped off the edge of the little ledge. She heard it clatter down into the pit. She brought her hand round hard, and felt the staff crash against the guards skull. He was probably only unconcious though.
She leant over the edge. "Zyg, can you throw the rope over the staff?" She held the staff out over the ledge and waited for the rope to come flying up.
