Again, Tansa ignored the Saikana. She just keeps getting more and more annoying. I really wish I just killed her back in that first fight... She picked up the pace, setting off at a run hoping to either escape Natsumi or at least put some distance between them.

I wish I'd killed her... she thought, for once on the same wavelength as Tansa. She followed easily, not wanting to get lost and die alone in the ruins. While she could find her own way out... she was much more afraid of Amett.

Tansa heard the quick footsteps behind her and started to move faster, leaping over fallen pillars and bricks. It seemed the deeper they went into the building, the older it appeared. There was more light down this corridor, larger holes in the ceiling letting in whatever sunlight could pass the canopy of trees outside.

She growled in the back of her throat, annoyed. She followed after Tansa in quick easy strides. She had had enough experience running when survival had completely depended on the ability to get away... back when the innocence showed in her pale blue eyes rather than the stone cold burning hatred. In a way she wished it had never happened... yet she loved it. She loathed the people who disagreed with Amett's way. His way was life, anything else? Suicidal.

Tansa finally slowed down, suddenly feeling a strange presence around her. She continued on at a slow walk, paying close attention to the mystic energy around her. It felt like this room she'd entered was full of magic energy, yet she didn't see its source.

Natsumi even seemed to feel it, dull as her senses were when compared to Tansa's highly acute ones. "...Magic. Lots of it."

Tansa glared. "You think I don't know that?" she snapped. "I'm surprised your kind can sense magic at all."

"It's easy. My 'kind' as you put it comes with healing magic," she said smugly, rolling her eyes. "Now let's move towards that magic. Chances are it's the Stone Legend."

"I can get it myself. I'll find the Stone Legend for Lord Amett and report back to him alone. I'll prove I don't need someone like you to complete an assignment."

"Oh? And how will you deal with it when he gives you another assignment and tells you to work with somebody else? Are you planning on disobeying your master time and time again? He'll know and get angry at your defiance."

She continued walking, feeling the energy in the room grow stronger. "I'll show him that I don't need anyone. I am perfectly capable of working on my own. People like you will only slow me down."

She hissed between her teeth, feeling angry that the cat would think her inferior time and time again. "It won't work. He'll just tell you to do something and expect it done."
Natsumi continued to follow, her light footsteps nearly as silent as Tansa's. She didn't care if the cat was annoyed... actually she was pushing her luck on purpose.

Tansa glanced back but kept quiet. She's just like every other person I've met. Annoying! I'm not going to try and argue with her anymore, the idiot doesn't listen. She stopped as she came to a wall and saw no doors nearby to continue onward.

She rolled her eyes, feeling the conversation had once again been disbanded. Stupid...stupid...cat! Why can't she listen to me and just shut her trap?

Tansa paced before the wall, staring at the old stone. There were no doors visible, yet the source of the magic was on the other side. Maybe I took a wrong turn and was supposed to get here another way...
