It came close and drooled a little onto her. Now that it was in plain sight, it was clear how skinny the wolf was. However, it didn't seem to be very old. It growled again but got no response from Star so it lowered its head and sniffed.

As soon as the wolf's head was incredibly close to hers, she pushed her arms, up wrapping them around the wolfs neck, and carefully pushing away. She didn't really want to hurt the wolf, although she definitley wouldn't loose any sleep over it if she did. She just didn't want to get blood on the silver dress she was wearing.

The wolf let out a howl of anger and snarled, jumping around wildly. Its paws dug into the ground as it tried to get her off much like a horse would buck off a rider.

Star hung on, keeping her feet firmly on the ground. Getting bored, she morphed instantly into a snake, coiled around the wolf's neck, where her arms were before, and slowly pulled the coil tighter, as the wolf thrashed about.

The wolf stopped struggling and fell to the ground, unable to breath as the snake crushed its windpipe. Off!

Star pulled tighter, revelling in the creatures death. This creature had tried to take her on and had failed, it was that simple. It didn't deserve her respect.

It snarled, though it was extremely choked. It closed its eyes, knowing it would die by Star's squeezing.

Star continued, pulling tighter until the wolf collapsed beneath her. She held tight a little while longer to reasure herself it was dead before returning to her human form. She quickly used her sword to skin the animal, wishing she had a knife which would make the job much simpler. She then starting searching for the best steaks, and pieces of meat, and sorting aside the ones that would keep the longest.

A low whimper sounded from the bushes, a clumbsy pup poking out its head at the body of the adult dire wolf. It blinked in confusion.

Star growled, and pushed the pup away, continuing her work with a vengance. She began wrapping up the meat into little parcels, and packing it away.

It walked around her, sniffing at the fur of the older wolf with another whine. It drew back its lip and growled at Star before it ran off. However it was just hiding in the bushes.

Star threw her sword after the retreating puppy. She simply tried to scare it off. She went to get her sword from where it was standing, quivering, the point pushing down into the soil.

The puppy yelped and jumped back, looking up at Star with angry but sad eyes. It whined again.

She knelt down, encouraging the puppy closer with a couple of soft words.

The puppy whimpered but came forward a little. It kept its head and tail down, afraid of her.
