Tamara looked at them both and then blushed and turned away again. "I say we should follow the river into the desert. It is rumoured that there is another piece there."

"Sounds like a plan," Asim nodded with a smile.
Zyg also nodded his agreement. "Are we stocked up on supplies enough though?"

"Well we have enough food to last us a few weeks in the desert, which means we don't have to worry about food. We should take as much fresh fruit as we can eat, before it goes off, because I doubt we'll find fresh fruit there. And we need water... that's going to be the hardest thing. We'll have to carry all our water with us. Other than that I think we are OK."

Zyg nodded. "Best way of carrying water would probably be to construct something lined with water-proof leaves to hold it. It'll have to be tightly bound to avoid leaks. Cacti might offer a little nourishment as well."
"Seems Zyggie has a plan then." Asim shook out his fur and also nodded.

"But for now, I think we should sleep." Tamara rolled over and curled up on the ground. "I'm getting tired and we should rest."

"Yes, I'm tired as well," Asim agreed. "...If you need a pillow you could lean on me. I'm sure my fur is more comfortable than leaves or the ground."
Zyg held in a chuckle. I wonder... He seems to like her...

Tamara smiled, and rested her head on Asim's fur. "You're right, it is far more comfortable."

Asim closed his eyes in contentment and smiled to her but said nothing. His breathing shallowed out until he hardly did at all: deep sleep. It was a peaceful time. With a yawn, Zyg stretched and curled up in his own space. He didn't want to crowd them.

Tamara was happy, and fell asleep very quickly. She was warm and comfortable....
When she woke up, she was cold and stiff. She realised she was still lying on Asim, so she rolled away and quickly stood up. She went outside to find the stream that she could here nearby. She found it quickly, and she began to wash her face, splashing water into her eyes to wake her up.

Asim remained curled up with his head on his front paws and tail resting around his hind legs. He looked like he was having pleasant dreams. Zyg was also still resting surprisingly. For a thief he didn't seem like he felt like waking up.

Tamara looked at Asim again and blushed. He was very cute, both in human and wolf form. She could still see them from the stream, it was hidden behind low vegetation. She sat down with some leaves, and scooping some mud from the stream she began to make containers for water, like Zyg had suggested.

Zyg stirred and stretched, his sensitive ears hearing the mud getting scooped. He walked over. "Morning Tam. The lazy dog is still asleep." He was of course joking, hoping 'dog' did no sound offensive.

Tamara smiled and blushed. "I wake up early," she mentioned lightly.

"I would have normally but I slept in. If I didn't hear the mud falling I would not have gotten up at all for a few hours."

"Sorry. I'll stop if you want to go back to sleep again. I thought I'd get started."
