(I just don't want to portray his character wrong. ) Unknowing to either, the tunnel is ready for their intrusion. A trap lies in the darkness, sprung by Telam's foot. The floor begins to give way behind them and starts cracking under them. Where the floor collapsed a series of wooden spikes could be seen. They were old but still deadly.

Tela's teeth bit into Talems tunic. He hung there for a bit, knowing that he was saved. "Thanks boy!" He gave him a tap as Tela lifted him on his back and leaped across the trap.

More lied ahead in the ancient Ruins, traps of moth physical and magical powers. For now, though, the two were safe. The traps were spaced far enough for the victims caution to let down should they escape any. The final test was yet to be seen. Deep down the corridor a faint light could be seen, though it's visibility was so low that it could be mistaken a trick of the eyes.

Talem hung onto Tela as if his life was on the edge, and it was. He would hold his legs tighter to Tela's sides as he jumped over a trap set for unnoticing travellers. Talem looked as if he could see light, and motioned to Talem to go in that direction.

As the got closer the light could be seen admitting from a doorway. Behind it was a walkway outside, leading to the next part of the Ruins. Unlike the inside, thiswalkway has been exposed to the elements and parts collapse frequently. Some of the walkway is already gone, the rest is unstabable.

"Tela, walked on your hind legs mostly!" Talem could feel Tela's body weight go mainly to his back legs. They move slowly forward.

The structures strain can be heard under Tela's feet, with each step a new crack formed and old ones grew. Small chuncks fell down, a very long drop that would shatter bones. SSlowly you can see that the walkway has a large piece missing, making a large gap. Just beyond it lied the doorway back into the ruins, can it be crossed?

"Tela, we are just sitting here! Just run!" Talem laid closely to Tela's saddle, and moved with him with every leaped that was toke so they would avoide a gap. They came up to the gab. Tela's claws gripped the edge, and pushed off with his strong hind legs. They soared across the gab. Tela landed on the edge, but with to much force. The ground gave and Tela clawed at the ground to get purchase. Talem couldn't talk due to fright. He just held tightly to Tela. Tela tried to grip the edge stronger. He bit the edge with his teeth and used his hind claws to move forward. His claws slipped on the rock. Talem looked around with quick thinking. He looked to a side that could be used for a grasp. He shouted it to Tela, over the roar of rushing rocks falling into the darkness. Tela's hind claws found ground, and sunk into it with force. Tela then turned and pushed off with force. He landed against the edge, gripping it wih his claws and teeth. Talem held on with his arms, feeling already weary. He tried to put his legs into Tela's side, but Tela was soon crawling over the edge. Soon Talem could pull his body weight back on Tela. Tela then leaped onto the safe side. ((LONG post. Haha. Just came. xD ))

The gap, widenedthe struggle, was now impossible to cross again the same way. going back was no longer an option, at least the way they came. The door ahead led back into the ruins where light would once again be absent for a time.

"Lets soak up the sun while we have it!" He let his blood relax from the struggle.

Unfortunately for the two, the sun's time in the sky was waning. A cresent moon could be seen on the opposite horizon and a twilight taking over the sky. Night was coming, what would it bring?

Talems unshealthed his short sword and looked to Tela. "You never know?" He shrugged and looked up at the sky's fading light. "Time we move on."
