Asim turned into a wolf. Surprisingly this didn't startle the boy much. His eyes widened then he smiled slightly. The smile soon changed to a blank expression when he looked over to Tamara. "Name's Zyg."
I think he's find. I don't sense anything about him that is to be of concern. He isn't evil...but his life has been very hard. You can see that without any magic. His appearance is enough, he's an albino. Asim replied to Tamara, keeping it private.

Tamara nodded fractionally, and turned to Zyg again. "Hey," she said. "I'm Tamara."

He nodded his head. "Nice to meet you..."
Asim...You'll have to be used to my changing. I tend to do it a lot. he laughed, the corners of his muzzle turning up in a smile.
"Didn't scare me the first time," Zyg shrugged, "I'm used to oddities."

Tamara was curious, but she didn't ask any more questions. Except for one. "So where are you headed now," she asked.

Zyg just shrugged. He was well practiced at keeping emotion hidden. "Same as always...wherever the road takes me. I live off that you know."
He could come with us? Asim suggested to Tamara privately. His skills could be useful.

Tamara nodded fractionally again, hoping that Asim got the message.

Zyg?
"Yeah?"
Want to come with us?
Zyg blinked. He'd never had friends before really...he was confused. "Umm...sure I guess. I have no other place to go."

Tamara turned and smiled at Asim, before going slightly scarlet. "We are going to find the next piece of the Stone Legend" she said, quickly changing the conversation.

Asim glanced down. He'd caught the blush but he didn't want to say anything. Secretly he was glad he was in wolf form...he couldn't show much emotion that way unless somebody looked into his eyes.
Zyg nodded. "I figured as much. It's a mad scrambled all over Amaru if you ask me, but at the end there is definitely a prize. I eh...I'm interested to see how long it takes somebody to find it."

"I think that the Legend says that different people find different answers, so I'm suprised that we got the same. Maybe the magic some how knew that you would find us... I wouldn't put it past Asteros and the other elders. Can you here water?" she asked.

"Can I hear water?" he blinked, confused what she meant. One of Zig's folded over white dog ears perked a little at the word 'hear' as if by an invisible cue. He had obviously trained his muscles by himself to certain cues to avoid capture.
Asim also wondered what she meant. What are you thinking Tam? he wondered to himself.

"Over that way. shh..." she said, listening hard. "I hear water from over there.. If it's the river..." She started off into the forest.

Asim sniffed the air and followed, changing to Zayrena in mid-step. "Yes...I smelled water. It didn't smell like it had salt at all either. It must be the river. Brilliant Tam!"
Zyg nodded. If they knew where a river was not only did they have water but most likely food from the animals that drank there... And more importantly they would have something to guide them through Amaru.

Tamara skipped exictedly. "The river flows exactly where we want to go. To the desert!" She smiled running forwards through the forest and landing on her knees by the river and splashing water on her face. "It's the first step to the next piece!"

Asim trotted over and stooped down. Somehow he changed to a wolf in the process and lapped up some of the stream's cold water. Of course he made sure he was down-stream from Tamara so he wouldn't be getting wolf saliva in her water when she splashed it on her face. May as well refresh here then. The desert will be very hot.
