"Thank you," Star replied, and gave the wolf a stroke. She opened up the packet and began to cook meat over the flames. She smiled at the scent, starting to feel a little hungry.

She growled, though it was in a way a purr of contentment. She didn't mind her life at the moment and the hatred towards Star seemed to be gone. Accalia watched Star cook for a bit then laid down and lowered her head to rest it on her front paws. She would not eat if Star told her not to.

How often did you use to eat Star asked Accalia while the meat was cooking.

Actually more often than you might think...Though I have adapted to less and less over time which explains how thin my mother and I were. Accalia replied, not looking up to answer.

Once a day? Star asked again, curiously.

That is about right...If the hunting ended up being good we would, as all wolves, eat as much as possible and go without food for a few days.

Once a day then. You will eat in the evening, after I have had my evening meal. Star said, leaving no room for argument.

She nodded, pleased with the more specific mealtime. That will be good.

Star stroked the wolf again. "If I teach you, will you learn how to fight?" She asked.

If you wish me to learn then I shall...I have watched my Mother before. It doesn't look so hard especially for a Dire Wolf due to our size.

"You are not large yet. Now, you need to learn agility, and keep practising so that you retain it for when you continue to grow."

Speed? Very well. If this is what I shall need then I will learn and do so quickly.

Star set up a simple agility course using branches for the wood. It should be challenging for the wolf, but it could get a lot harder. She kept an eye on the meat as she was doing so. She built low jumps, and others that the wolf was required to go underneath. She also stuck some poles in the ground for the wolf to weave around, and some sprint sections. She explained to the wolf how it would work, and pulled out a little sand timer, which would allow her to see how long it took Accalia each time. She pulled the cooked meat off the fire and began to eat.

Accalia dropped low and started to run the course, weaving and running as needed. She was panting by the end but it hadn't been quite as slow as somebody would think for a pup her size. Time?

"Not bad. The sand had fully passed through 7 chambers of the timer. I would expect faster." Star said, carefully munching on her food. She swore to herself that she would do her training in the mornings while the wolf was asleep.
