DG continued to jet along, though he started to feel the strain of running so much. He had ran the entire time to catch up to Natsumi and Tansa and now was going top speed through the desert. He had to admit they only had a limited amount of time, though, so it wasn't as if he had a choice. Tansa are you alright with keeping up? he asked her. He had been carrying both Sumi and Ivy the entire way as well and he'd also dug all the holes. His legs were sore and he was exhausted and hungry...but he couldn't let them know.

She ran alongside him though traveling through the deep sand was somewhat difficult at times. The time she'd slept during the day seemed to give back a lot of her energy.Of course I'm alright. Did you think I dropped dead when I've been right NEXT to you this whole time? Keeping her next thoughts to herself, she began to wonder if he was even the least bit tired yet after carrying Sumi and Ivy for so long. And should she tell Sumi what she'd heard? Perhaps not so soon. Oh well, she thought, I think it may be better to keep him around a while. Fishy hasn't even threatened me much since he came around. She's too busy with him I guess. I can do what I want now; no more listening to her.

No I didn't think you dropped dead. Cut me a break! My vision is going crazy because of- Oh nevermind You don't want to hear me complain. DG replied.
Ivy noticed the lagging DG. He can't carry on like this... Maybe next time we stop I'll kill some thing and put the meat in my sack to dry out. It could be useful to have some with me..
"I didn't say you could slow down, cat!" Natsumi snarled.
"Well maybe I can't help it!" he growled back.

Tansa glanced over at Sumi when she yelled. That's what you get for acting like a mule, DG. Now the lazy people will always expect a free ride from you. But she thought about it and knew that they'd likely never make it through the desert like this. She doubted DG could carry them much further. If I must, I'll take Sumi for a bit... she thought to him reluctantly. Can't have you dying of exhaustion.

DG blinked, wondering why she would suggest to take Sumi. You should take Ivy...she won't kick you. I've been abused enough for now to notice a fight breaks out any time she even thinks of hitting you. We'll take up less energy if we avoid that. He stopped, sand kicking up from his paws.
"I didn't tell you to-"
"Shut up Natsumi. Tansa and I are getting one of you crazies off my back before I collapse. You wouldn't want me to pass out and make you late for Amett now would you?" Natsumi instantly shut up.
"Who's getting off?" Ivy said at a almost whisper. Her shyness was coming back to her. I don't mind moving...

Tansa skidded to a stop a bit late, sending a cloud of sand up around her that soon settled back down as she turned back to go stand beside DG. Just let me take Sumi, since you're afraid of her and all, she thought, smirking. Though the real reason was that Sumi was smaller and lighter, and Tansa wasn't as strong as DG so she wasn't sure how long she'd even be able to carry the eleven year old. "Let's go, Fish-girl," she said, waiting for Natsumi to get off DG's back and onto her own.

DG lowered himself a little and Sumi jumped off, climbing onto Tansa's back quickly and giving her a kick. "Get moving then. This little pause is costing us the little bit of time we have to get across the desert."
"Ready to go, Ivy?" DG asked, making sure she had readjusted her position before running.
Ivy nodded, then moved herself up a bit. Ready...I hope. she thought as she grabbed onto DG's neck.

Tansa growled and darted after DG, reaching a high speed in just a few seconds. Kick me again and perhaps I'll through you off into a cactus, Fish-girl...that might actually be a good idea, she thought to herself as she caught up to DG. "Traveling at this speed, we'll never get all the way across," she complained, knowing she wasn't good with running long distance.

DG sighed. "Got any other ideas? I can fly but I don't know how fast it'll be...I have Wind Roc and Dragon. You have...? Actually I rephrase. I don't even KNOW what forms you have."
Ivy thought for a moment. Dragons aren't too fast.. Are they?

"Dragons are slow. I could outrun them as a kitten if I felt like it. Windrocs can't carry people and can't teleport if that was your plan." Tansa slowed down some when she slipped a little on a hill of deep sand. "And for the millionth time, my flying forms are pathetic," she spat. "One is good for high speeds across a short distance, but it can't carry people. We'll just have to remain as cats."

"One Dragons are faster than you in the air. They're not as bulky as you think. Two, I know Windrocs CAN carry people. I used it as my primary flying form with Kenishai on my back. But I guess since you can't keep up we can't use them," DG shrugged.
Ivy just sat there, then she turned around to open her sack. I need some new weapons..

Showoff... Even if he did manage to carry one girl as a Windroc, there's no way he'd get off the ground carrying two. And I can't take new forms easily, so even if he showed me I'm not trying, she thought. Glancing at Ivy when she opened her bag, she wondered what the girl was doing but didn't ask. "I'm not changing," Tansa said, slowing down again as she went down another hill to avoid slipping.

"Well then I guess I'm not either. You'll never keep up and there's no way I'm letting you die out here in the desert when the sun hits. I'll get in trouble with Amett." ...Not really though. It's not like I answer to that overgrown black lizard anymore. DG thought as he jumped over a hill and landed roughly in the sand. For him it wasn't hard to get a grip on the loose terrain. He'd been used to traveling.
"Stupid cat, you're so slow!" Natsumi hissed, digging her nails into Tansa's skin.
Ivy saw Tansa looking at her, but she continued what she was doing. She then pulled out a extremly dull pocket knife. It was silver and had two twin dragons for the handle. The blade was still shiny, but too dull to use. She laughed to herself at how pathetic it was, then placed it back into her sack.

Tansa struggled to keep up with DG as she clumsily made her way over the same hill, after sliding back down part of the way a few times. She ignored the 'stupid cat' comment. Natsumi's nails didn't exactly hurt her; they weren't nearly as sharp as claws, after all. But it annoyed her enough that she turned her head back and snapped at the girl once as a warning. Of course she couldn't reach to actually bite her.

Sumi didn't seem startled. She knew Tansa couldn't reach. "Stupid kitty can't use her distance perception?"
"Lay off Natsumi. She's giving you a ride afterall. She could just throw you off her back you know." DG rolled his eyes.
Ivy stared straight forward. DG the sun's gonna come up soon... The horizon is gaining light once more... She thought to him, a bit worried.
You can thought-speak? he asked her, surprised.
