Tansa glanced at Ivy, wondering what she planned to do with the knife, but she turned back to Natsumi. Looks like I win again, Tansa thought. Stupid fish.

While Tansa was distracted, Sumi lashed out the whip. "Take this!" she snapped, snarling.
DG landed just in time to see the whip strike out. He raised an eyebrow and shifted back to wildcat. "This is how much I miss in the span of a few minutes?"
Ivy looked over the blade and bit her lip in thought. Not quite sharp enough...but it's good enough for now.

Tansa whined as the whip crossed the wound on her shoulder left by the sword not too long ago. She quickly backed off, limping slightly.

Natsumi smirked. "Stupid pathetic cat." She then turned her attention to DG. "Find anything, Shifter?"
He shook his head. "Sand, sand, and oh yeah...more sand."
Great, now I must think of something. Ivy still sat in thought. "Now what?'

Tansa sighed and layed down in the sand, whining softly. She watched the others and wondered what they were supposed to do now that they were stuck in the middle of the desert and the sun was coming up. Then she looked to Ivy. Hey girl... she thought, attempting to send a message to Ivy, do you have any plans...?

DG stretched, yawning. He couldn't help but show his exhaustion now that he wasn't in the air anymore.
Sumi started to pace. "If somebody doesn't come up with a plan soon, we're going to fry in the sun." I'm still thinking... We could do what we did before, and just have deeper holes. Maybe cover them up with some sort of leaves.. Then we'd be protected from the sun and could be able to sleep. Ivy said to Tansa.

Tansa was surprised to get a response. She didn't think Ivy would be able to speak mentally. Where are we going to find leaves in a desert? Unless you plan to use the spikes off a cactus. The only place to get leaves is from the forest, which would mean DG has to fly all the way back there and bring some here. But that may be the only option at this point.

That might work, but I have another plan. Since me and Sumi have been useless this whole trip, why don't we strip the spikes off some cactus's and slice them into thin strips. That could cover it up and plus, we'd be doing something. She has a sword, and I have a newly sharpened knife. Ivy thought to Tansa.
Sumi, having no clue what they were talking about, or if they even were talking, looked to DG. "Look I don't intend on roasting out in the sun. So you'd better thing quick, cat."
"Give me a minute, sheesh! I need time!" he snarled.
"We don't HAVE more than a few minutes."

"Just wait a minute, Fish," Tansa snapped. "It's not like we'll all drop dead in five minutes... Well, you might..." She looked back to Ivy to reply to her mentally. That should work, long as you're sure to get rid of all the spikes... But you will have to work quickly...

Natsumi snarled and whipped Tansa again. "Keep your comments to yourself."
DG rolled her eyes. "Natsumi, shut u-Ow! Hey!" He winced as he was in turn whipped as well, across the muzzle this time.
Ivy nodded. You and DG will have to dig then...and since you're both fast you'll most likely have to help me and Natsumi. We're going to be too slow to get it all done quickly enough.

Tansa cried out and put her head down on her front paws, keeping quiet to avoid being struck again. She looked away when Sumi hit DG. Deru xekzf... she thought. Looking up at Ivy, she answered again. I don't feel like digging...

DG rubbed his nose with his paw, wincing. It stung worse than the sword had hitting his skin or the kicks to his ribs.
"Now keep quiet and get thinking, cat, or I'll do worse," Natsumi threatened. She glared at them both and didn't specify who she was yelling at.
You can take a rest if you want, you've been carrying the fat fishy for awhile. Ivy replied to Tansa. She made sure Natsumi didn't hear that one.

Tansa glared back at Natsumi but said nothing. You okay, DG? she asked, before sending other thoughts to Ivy. I doubt the 'fat fishy' would let me take a break.

DG continued to rub his nose but he replied. I think so...she managed to give me a nasty sting. I think my nose is bleeding across the top. Man she has good aim! Sheesh. What'd I even do?
Natsumi suddenly snorted. "If you're all going to keep me out of the conversation I'll just have to try to find my own place to rest."
"Yeah, you do that and when you roast to death I'll laugh at the little cooked fishy." DG muttered as he rolled his eyes.
Ivy then began to look around. She found a nearby cactus and whipped her twin dragon blade. She then started to strip the spikes off and cut them into strips.

Tansa snickered when DG insulted Natsumi. She got back on her paws and limped over to DG. Lucky she didn't put your eye out. But yeah, it's bleeding, she said as she looked over his muzzle. I don't get how that thing can cut like a blade... I oughta go hit her with it, she added, again not serious.
