He shrugged. How bad is it? I don't really want to go cross-eyed trying to see and I would prefer to know...stupid whip.
Sumi looked over at Ivy. "What the crud are you doing, weirdo?"
Ivy looked at her, then continued her work. She picked up her planks of cactus, then she found a spot to put them down. She took her three tails, swiping them quickly along the sand, kicking some up behind her. Once it became a hollow, she covered it up with the planks and then sprinkled some sand over it. Ivy then sighed, then repeated this until she had three more dens. "There." She panted. Looking at her work. "You guys can fight over which dens you want."

Tansa sat down to put less weight on her foreleg, and she looked closer at DG. I don't know, I'm not a doctor... It looks deep though.... she told him through her thoughts.

He sighed. It's not going to be fun to heal that... Mmph. I should cut her to ribbons for it, but I don't really want to deal with blood on my claws. I'm more concerned with a place to sleep. And on that note... DG walked over to one of the dens and curled up inside. "Not a bad job Ivy."
Natsumi went inside her own. "Wake me up whenever you morons decide to leave."
Or we could leave her behind. DG joked to both Ivy and Tansa.
Ivy sorta laughed. Nice DG. She then took her extra cactus and squeezed it until a water came out. She cut the dried up pieces of cactus, and poured the liquid onto it. "Here." she handed DG and Tansa one. "Drink up." She went near Sumi and placed her's near where she was asleep. She then slurped up her share of the water.

Tansa sniffed the water, wondering if it was safe to drink. Of course, she quickly realized that Ivy wouldn't have drank it if it was poison, so she lapped it up. Then she crawled into a den and closed her eyes, soon falling asleep.

Sumi hadn't fallen asleep yet so she grabbed the cactus and drank the water. She didn't like the taste of it but it was better than dehydration.
DG turned his head and lapped it up before shifting to a smaller form and curling up with his tail over his nose. "Same rule as before. Whoever is up first gets to wake everyone else up."
Ivy nodded, then also curled up, hugging her stuff. Might as well try to get some sleep for once. She sighed, then she wrapped her three tails around herself.

Tansa woke up when it was dark, though she wasn't sure how long the sun had been down. Is it time to go already...? She wondered if anyone else was up yet but didn't feel like leaving the den to check. Not sure if it would work, she tried to send a message to DG, even if he was still asleep. Hey, DG! You awake?

DG opened his eyes, feeling the message pull him from his subconscious state. Yeah, I'm up now. It's dark out... should we get Ivy and Natsumi up now?

I guess so. We need to get going. I don't know how much time we have left until the sun rises again.

Neither do I... I don't think we have to bury the dens this time. A sandstorm will sweep them away. DG nodded. He emerged from his den and stretched before he shifted to his wildcat form and walked over to Ivy's den. He roared into the entrance.
Ivy moaned. Time to get up? She thought to Tansa and DG. She then got up and picked up the dried cactus wood. She then shoved it into her pack. She shrugged, then stood up and yawned. Shall we save the cactus? It's still of use.
Several loud curses came after Ivy's questions as Natsumi crawled from her den. She hadn't slept well due to the heat and DG's roar had startled her. "Ready to go, lazy lumps?"

If it can still be used and you don't mind carrying it, then go ahead and bring it, she thought to Ivy. Tansa left her den and yawned, stretching afterward. She sat down beside the den and waited. "Leaving now?"

DG nodded. "If you don't mind, I think I'll fly. After the day's heat the air should have some nice air currents... Oh and Tansa do you want the fish or Ivy?"
"I have a name and I'm NOT a fish, shista!" Sumi snapped angrily.
"I can carry it." Ivy whispered to Tansa.

Tansa smirked. What, is this the first time she noticed she was called Fish? Wow, she's slow. "I'm not sure if I can carry Ivy for long," she said.

I bet she's noticed before but she's just sick of hearing it. DG shrugged, knowing his guess was most likely correct. "Then take Sumi."
Natsumi groaned, annoyed she would be with Tansa again. "Ak'nah shikrina..." she muttered.
DG ignored her and turned his attention to Ivy. "You alright with flying, Ivy? It's going to be cooler up there than down here on the sand."
Ivy nodded, but first skimmed the ground for a second. She found a string like plant and pulled a string from it. She then tied her hair back. Ivy then got onto his back.

Tansa nodded and got up, walking over to Sumi and stopping beside her with a sigh. She wasn't looking forward to carrying her again.

Sumi climbed onto Tansa's back. "Let's get moving."
DG shifted right under Ivy, changing from a cat to a windroc. He spread his wings and rose, flying a loop up into the skies. I was right. There are nice currents up here.
Ivy smiled, she liked the wind in her face. Finally! It's not hot!
