The task at hand...

[Hanna]

Tansa came to sit beside Sumi, staring down into the hole. Well, I could always push her in to see how deep it is, she thought, amused. "Why don't you jump down there, Fishy?"

[Kayla]

She kicked a small piece of loose rock down into the hole, listening as it hit the ground. "It isn't so deep... come on. Or are you chicken?" Natsumi teased. She jumped into the hole, a thud sound being the result. Several screeches of annoyance filled the air... though there was nothing signaling an attack.

[Hanna]

I'm not a chicken, you stupid fish... Tansa continued to stare for a moment. She heard Sumi reach the bottom, yet she could see nothing through the darkness until her eyes adjusted. She finally jumped and landed next to Natsumi. Growling at the Saikana in her anger, she swept her tail across the stone floor but refrained from attacking.

[Kayla]

Sumi gave her eyes a few seconds to adjust as well and then glanced around. A few blue runes littered the room, one hallway being lit more than the others. I guess this is the way...? "You useful enough to be able to read these squiggles?"

[Hanna]

Tansa looked over the runes, trying to understand them, but failed. It seemed to be an ancient language she didn't know, or at least she wasn't familiar with these particular letters or words. "It says... 'Tansa, kill Natsumi or else'," she growled.

[Kayla]

She rolled her eyes. "Well done." She said sarcastically. Natsumi started off down the glowing blue hallway, a clicking sound filling her ears from the magic running all throughout the runes. ...I wish I knew what all this said. It might be easier to find the Stone Legend if this gives clues.

[Hanna]

"I'm going to get to it before you," Tansa muttered. Then I'll dispose of you and take all the credit for finding it... She got back on her paws and trotted forward, getting just ahead of Natsumi.

[Kayla]

Sumi gave her a sharp kick to the back of the leg and then trotted ahead. She followed the hall into a place where it split. Both of these new halls were equally lit with the blue runes. "Hmm..."

Now which way...?

[Hanna]

Tansa tripped, not ready for the kick. She layed flat against the floor for a moment, growls rumbling in her throat as her anger rose. Her tail swept quickly from side to side. After getting back up, she walked quietly after Sumi but when the girl stopped, she leaped forward, slashing with a claw.

[Kayla]

She dodged to the side, expecting retaliation, letting Tansa worry about stopping the short distance away from the stone. Natsumi just picked a hallway and continued down it. ...Right. If it's not the proper direction we can turn around and go left.

[Hanna]

Tansa skidded to a stop before the wall. The Shifter seemed to become even more enraged. She whirled around and darted after Sumi, attempting a second time at an attack.

[Kayla]

She twisted and lashed out with her sword, which she pulled from the sheath in a split second to slash at Tansa's extended paw. "Back off!"

[Hanna]

Tansa pulled her paw back before the sword could touch her. Smirking, she took a step back, only to crouch down and get ready to strike once more.

[Kayla]

"What is with you and constantly trying to murder me?" she muttered, getting ready by dropping into defensive stance.

[Hanna]

Tansa replied with only an annoyed hiss. Whatever her plan was, she was determined not to fail. The cat began circling Natsumi slowly.
