Sumi kept her back to the wall. While it gave her less room to move, it made sure Tansa wouldn't have a way to get behind her and attack. She watched carefully... not wanting to underestimate the cat's movements.

Tansa completed the half circle around Sumi, turning around once she reached the wall. It annoyed her that she couldn't get behind the girl, but she dealt with it, slashing again from the side and keeping a close watch so that there was no way that sword would touch her.

Sumi dodged and twisted the blade, ready to defend. However she couldn't attack well enough to actually damage the cat.

Again, she ended her swipe early to avoid the sword. "Pathetic fish." It seemed as though she simply grew bored of trying to fight, as she turned away without a care and started walking, her attention now focused on the runes.

"I'm not pathetic!" she snapped, walking after Tansa. Stupid cat. You're the pathetic one...

"You are pathetic, little Fishy," she answered without looking back. She can't even defend herself against me. Of course, while it makes for a boring fight, it also means when I am ready to get rid of her, it'll be easy. Hah, then I'll prove that no one can control a Shifter.

Stupid stupid cat...thinks she can off me so darn easy. Hmph. She's going to get it when I get a better weapon than this dumb sword. I'll teach her a lesson of pain she'll never forget!
Sumi rolled her eyes then dashed ahead of Tansa again, leading the way down a new hallway. This one had a few less runes, but they were obviously carved with much more care and had a brighter glow.

Tansa watched Sumi run past her. She shrugged and raced after, keeping close behind. It seemed she payed no mind to the runes now, her only focus on the Saikana. Though she did feel the magic on the air growing a bit stronger.

Sumi blinked, coming to a dead end. She sensed quite a lot of magic coming from the wall...though there was seemingly no way around it. "What the...?"

Tansa stopped behind her. She, too, felt the powerful magic energy. Looking up at the wall, she muttered, "Get us lost again?" Sighing loudly, she added with sarcasm, "Good job."

"No... I just don't know how to get past this wall."
She listened carefully, words floating in on the breeze. "The answer is much more clear than you think..."

Tansa didn't notice the voice on the wind. "Figure something out, Fishy. I haven't got all day. Lord Amett is waiting for us to find whatever this thing is."

She sighed, thinking better of asking Tansa about the voice. If the cat couldn't hear it, she'd just say that Sumi was crazy. She pressed her palm to the runes and tried to push, but the wall didn't budge. "Open!" she tried, hoping it would work.

Tansa snickered, watching Natsumi try to push her way through the stone. "Oh wow, the Fishy is talking to walls now. Just when I think you can't get any more stupid..."

"It seemed like it would work... maybe if I knew Amarian, the word 'open' would work." she snapped. "But I don't."
