Natsumi clutched tighter as Tansa dropped, feeling her stomach drop. "Hey, watch it!" she snapped at Tansa. She then looked to Ivy with a smirk. "You're not as useless as you seem, girl."
DG lowered himself to be even with Tansa and then angled his wings again to rise. "Here...try to copy me again to stay steady," he advised.
Ivy smiled a bit, then sighed. "Should I see how long I can hold this? Or should I just drop it until we need it?" She asked the others.

She growled at Natsumi, who was now pulling her fur. "YOU better watch it, fish-breath. If you hit me now, I'll shift back and we'll both die."
"Magic takes time to recharge. You should save it in case we do need it later on," Tansa told Ivy. She looked to DG, trying to imitate the motion of his wings, but she still couldn't keep steady. I wonder what kind of magic it was that Ivy used... It didn't seem like dark magic, she thought suspiciously. And all of Amett's people use dark magic... Then again, I haven't seen it enough to recognize it right away.

Sumi snarled but didn't hit Tansa since she was right. Shifting in mid-air would kill them both.
DG suddenly came to the same thing as Tansa had. Ivy! he said privately so she wouldn't hear, You used light magic. All of Amett's followers know dark magic. Tansa's getting suspicious. You're a hero. How many times do I have to tell you?
She knows I'm not bad! I was kidnapped I'm not here by choice DG. She'll learn that soon enough. Besides, if Amett wants to kill me, I'm not afraid of death by him. Nobody would care anyway. And if I'm a hero, he'll want my powers, won't he? Ivy replied.
He will...but he will be angry. We're both in trouble if Amett finds out. DG agreed.

Tansa tried to speak into Natsumi's mind. Hey, Fish, did you notice something...strange, about that shield Ivy just used? she asked, wondering if Natsumi also caught the strange feeling when the spell was cast. It was unfamiliar and nothing like the energy of dark magic, from what Tansa knew.

It wasn't dark magic. Natsumi confirmed, being a dark magic user herself due to the corruption of her healing magic that gave her the ability to destroy so well. I haven't sensed DG use any magic but I think there's something definitely wrong here.
DG side-glanced at Tansa. How much do you think she's guessed, Ivy?
DG, at this point, I really don't care. Amett knows I'm good in heart. He took me in. I never volunteered for this life. If they kill me, he'll be mad. He needs me more then they know of. If I can create more spells, I'll be fairly useful to him. I can create a spell to defense attacks of any sort. I'm invincible if I am able to do this... she replied.

You worked with DG before, so you know him better than I do...but I think he's a traitor, myself. Ivy was brought here by a servant of Amett, and I could sense a powerful darkness around that girl so I know she's evil, she said, referring to Star, though she wasn't sure about Ivy. But DG came here alone, and I don't believe he was truly sent by Amett.

Just because I've worked with him before doesn't mean I know him, Tansa. Ivy could be a traitor instead...or they both could be. I don't believe the evil aura of that other girl matters. All she did was bring Ivy here. Sumi pointed out.
Just relax DG, I'll die and I'll like it. Ivy thought to him.

Whatever... She looked over at DG, wondering if he and Ivy knew that she and Natsumi noticed the light magic. But she didn't plan to do anything to them; in fact, she wished she didn't even talk to Natsumi about it.

DG snorted. Easier said 'relax' than actually do it. I'm worried, Ivy. And let's thank the goddesses of Amaru that I'm in a form that can't show emotion easily. Beaks aren't good for smiling or frowning.
Look, when we get back to Amett he'll most likely kick me out of this group anyway. I mean, you work for him and he sent you here to help Tansa and Sumi find and read the stone legends. He sent me too, but I'm sure he'll switch me out. she replied.
"Tansa," DG started. He relied on the wind to carry his voice. "Can you keep in flight? Or are you still too shaky to fly for long distances?"

"I can fly as long as this wind keeps up," she answered, knowing that it was the only thing keeping her airborne. She doubted she would be able to fly on her own.

Tansa glanced at Ivy in confusion, not understanding what she'd said. How the heck could she know that? She's probably making things up. "Well how much further do we have to go?" She was bored of traveling and still annoyed that she had to carry Natsumi the whole way.

I wish I remembered how far it was...then we wouldn't have to go by 'pretty close' as how long we have left here. Ivy thought with a sigh.
