(Thanks James. It's good to be back.)
Star walked along, not tiring or slowing, through the darkening night. She completely ignored Accalia. The sand was beginning to bore Star. If she remebered correctly, they were nearing a place where the rocks usually remained uncovered, and there was the possibility of some caves where they could spend the day, although they might have to fight the original inhabitants first. On the other hand, she could be wrong...

(there any Oasis in Seido?)
Exposed rocks began to form in the distance, close enough to reach before morning sun. The sands seemed comparitively calm in the area ahead.
Accalia looked excitedly at the landscape change. Think we'll find anything interesting? She asked.

(There could be, it's a desert... It is really up to you though.)
"We may find shelter. It hopefully won't be more than another night or two's walk until we reach the mountain..."
Star sped up, pulling on Accalia's leash slightly. "When we get to the mountain, we will re-start your training."

(didn't want to start god-modding if Seido was barren enough not to have oasis)
As the area got closer it became clearer that it was more than a few rocks. It seemed like there was a tree or two and bushes. There also seemed to be a wavey moon and sky on the ground.
Accalia sped up giving a slighht nod. Any new training or same stuff? She asked.

"It will be similar... but that doesn't mater right now. Let's find a shelter." Star strode briskly, a slight wind causing the sand to waver round her ankles. She looked like a goddess rising from the sand.
She didn't slow until she reached the first of the rocks, hoping to find a cave.

The sky and moon on the ground turned out to be a small pond. the area was an oasis. The trees were short but had big leaves and the bushes small but dense with leaves and thorns. The ground was more rock than sand, some rocks were quite large and dark. They seemed to be made of volcanic rock.
Accalia hurried along, she could smell the water. She was eager to reach it and drink before the heat of day came.

Star peered at the water carefully. Don't drink, I'm not sure it's safe. She took a small portion of water from where it was running into the pond, letting it run through her fingers.
We will boil it first. Star began to create a small fire with some of the trees.

Accalia let out a wolfish sigh but was glad just to have something to drink. She walked over a flat volcanic rock and layed down, enjoying as the dark rock warded away the cold with heat it collected from the day. So where do you think that cave is? She asked. Anywhere near here?

"There will be one somewhere. Go and have a look." Star ordered Accalia.
She took out a small cooking pot and placed it over the fire. She slowly brought some water to boil, and let it boil for a few minutes. Once it had boiled she took it off the heat to let it cool down, and then filled it into one of her flasks. It wasn't full, so she repeated it until she had finished filling her flasks and Accalia's. Then she began to go through her excersises, waiting for Accalia to return.

Accalia walked off, wishing she had at least got a quick lap of water. She sniffed at the ground and air vigorously, feeling the faster she finished the sooner she could get a drink. Accalia was smelling for the scent of air from underground, sublty different from surface air. After stumbling across several animal burrows she arrived at a large rock. the boulder was much bigger than her and black in color. She wondered how it got there till she noticed the it covered over half the entrace to a cave. She dug a little and stuck her head inside. Accalia found it was a steep slope in bit a good cave. She ran back to Star, ready to tell her and get a drink. I found it. She said. But there is a large boulder covering most of the entrance.

"That's not a problem. You can drink some of this." She put down a small bowl of water which she had cooled by surrounding the outside of the bowl in water.
"Let's go and have a look then."

Accalia eagerly lapped up the water till the bowl was empty. She looked at it sadly once the water was gone but turned and started to lead Star to the cave. So what's the plan for the boulder? Accalia asked curiously.

"It depends how well the entrance is covered. If it really is only partially covered - I might be able to wriggle through - if not I'll find a lever. There is a suprising amount of strong greenery around here."
Star followed Accalia's lead. "Once we are in, you can have some more water - and I'll make us some food. You should also do some excersises.

It was small enough that I had to dig to get my head through. Accalia said. And the slope into there is kinda steep, I think wind pushes sand and gravel into the hole. They arrived at the boulder and Accalia dug at the snd and looe gravel to expose more of the entrance.

Star nodded - she looked at Accalia. "Go and have a look around the other side of this hill, there might be another entrance. Contact me mentally with your results before coming back."
Star stood and watched Accalia as she moved out of sight round the mound of sand.... Once she was out of vision, Star transformed into a little red and gold lizard and slithered into the cave. As soon as she was in she changed back and began setting up a small fire near the enterance, in such away that the smoke would blow out through the small hole.
She pulled the meat bundles from her pack and had a look. There wasn't that much meat left... They might get two or three days out of it, but they had to reach the mountain soon. She sighed, and begin to chop some of the meat up roughly. She filled a pan with water from her flask - she would fill it up again tomorrow, and added the meat.
